Evaleen Stein @ The History Center

Join author Angie Klink to hear of the life of Evaleen Stein, a prolific writer from the golden age of Indiana literature (1880-1920), as well as a nationally-known author, poet and artist. Evaleen published 300 poems, 13 children’s novels, and 3 books of poetry. She translated books written in Italian and Japanese and painted hundreds of watercolors. Today, school children continue to read Evaleen’s poems and books, websites feature her poetry, and YouTube offers numerous videos of children reciting her works at school programs.
