John Calvin Allen was the photographer at Purdue for the first half of the 20th century. His photos feature various subjects between his personal and professional life. The J. C. Allen Collection at the West Lafayette Public Library features Amelia Earhart photographs and other West Lafayette history.
An exhibit of J.C. Allen photographs from the WLPL and cameras from the Tippecanoe County Historical Association collection will also be on display at the WLPL.
Organized in 1902, Grandview Cemetery was meant to be a quiet, beautiful resting place. Over one hundred years later Grandview is the final resting place of 4,600+ people and the stories to be shared are endless. Come learn more about this cemetery and some of the early Tippecanoe County residents buried there.
This program is a partnership with The West Lafayette Public Library.
