Purdue University held its first classes in 1874 with a class of thirty- nine students, including John Bradford Harper. He was a very active student and graduated with a degree in chemistry. Yet, he became a civil engineer. Learn the story of Purdue’s first graduate, 150 years ago!

Archeology Month Celebration @ Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum

Join TCHA and Purdue University’s Department of Anthropology to celebrate Indiana Archaeology Month!

This all ages- event will feature many hands- on activities such as an AtlAtl dart throw, artifact show & tell and identification, hands-on skeletal lesson with Dr. Melanie Beasley from Purdue Anthropology, a mini excavation, and archaeology activity books. The Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum will also have free entry.
