The Lafayette / Tippecanoe County Joint Centennial Celebration
Presented by Kelly Lippie TCHA Curator of Collections
100 years ago, the city of Lafayette and the county of Tippecanoe celebrated their centennial anniversaries with a series of events that brought the community together like never before. Three parades, a theatrical production of thousands, historical exhibits, musical numbers, and publications were just some of the major ways the community recognized the city’s founding and the establishment of the county. Join TCHA’s curator to take a look back at the celebration with photographs, documents and other artifacts from the official archive of the 1925 centennial celebration.
