A Taste of the Past with Chef Lauren Reed

TCHA’s History Center

Chef Lauren Reed is an accomplished local chef who is passionate about preserving history through culinary experiences.

Saturday August 1 at 6:00 pm

Theme: A Taste of the Feast of the Hunters’ Moon

Experience Chef Lauren’s creative takes on classic Feast dishes. In addition to the meal, the evening will feature a performance by the Voyaguer Ancient Fife and Drum Corps, a Lafayette youth performing group.

Limited seats, registration opens 4/29 at 10 AM EST!

Drink: Mulberry Tea
Appetizer: Homemade bread with apple butter
First Course: Ribeye Slider with Black Garlic Aioli
Second Course: Pumpkin Butternut Squash Soup with Sage Crouton and Pumpkin Seed
Main Course: Herb Grilled Pork Chop with Feast-Style Noodables.
Dessert: Upside-down Ginger Pear Cake topped with Toffee Sauce and Whipped Cream.

Have you ever wanted to close the Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum and have it all to yourself for an evening? Join us for the next TCHA members-only event at the Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum & History Store on Friday August 14th. In addition to the museum and store being open exclusively for members, we will have fall program previews and some special guests around the museum!
 
Marquis de Lafayette’s Farewell Tour

Presented by Ryan Cole, author of “The Las Adieu: Lafayette’s Triumphant Return, the Echoes of Revolution, and the Gratitude of the Republic”. 
Join author Ryan Cole for a presentation on his new work chronicling Marquis de Lafayette’s farewell tour of America in 1824. The Last Adieu narrates this historical event from eyewitness accounts that serve as a panorama of a rising America and chronicle of a time when, as Lafayette wrote, memories of its Revolution came back to life, and its citizens were united in gratitude to the men who had won it.
